We take a forward-looking approach to identifying the risks arising from our operations and a responsible approach to dealing with them, thereby ensuring the sustainable success of our Company. We are helped in this by an internal control system and a comprehensive risk management system.
In this chapter, we first describe Volkswagen’s financial reporting-related internal control system and its risk management system. We then explain the specific risks facing us in our business activities. In the “Report on Expected Developments”, we outline the opportunities arising from our work.
